New York – I love you!

New York is like London’s more confident, louder and crazier younger brother.

Never have I seen buildings so big and so many shops, cafes and sushi restaurants!

In four days we managed to scale the Empire State Building, climb Top of the Rock, witness some hilarious photo poses (some people love the camera!), visit museums, show our respects at 9/11 memorial, enjoy a cruise on the Staten Island ferry, walk across Brooklyn Bridge, see Jersey Boys on Broadway (fantastic performance, you can also get giant beakers of wine), watch a basketball match (woohoo Brooklyn Nets) and go for brunch at the Boathouse at Central Park.

We have tackled the art of crossing the road, successfully used the subway and made friends on the buses. (I can safely say I have now spoken to everyone on a bus in order to get change to pay our bus fare…)

Meal times have been a source of culinary delight. From the best pizza at Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn (which had the hottest jalapeños ever!) to amazing truffle oil and parmesan fries at The Son’s of Essex (words cannot explain the epicness of these fries!).

Tomorrow we leave the city that never sleeps to embark on our next destination… Niagara Falls.

Our next post will be from Canada.

Lots of love,
Sx
